I love those! I had a crazy lust for those when they came out! Even better that it's a Cougar! I got the chance to thrash on a SC back when i was wrenching (don't tell the owner ) and those are fun cars!

I've always liked these too. I like Super Coupes also, but I always have thought that the formal roof on these Cougars came across particularly well. Over the years I've kept an eye on these to a degree, and manual transmission models are rare. For that matter you don't see many of them at all. I suspect not a ton were built.

This thing had a lot of work done on it, don't care for the Aero front end. It appears to have a newer 5.0, along with lots of high end parts. Probably very fast, but I find it kind of ugly, and for 60k, I can think of a lot of other things to buy....

Why in the good name of the lord would you spend all of this money on a build then put rusty manifolds back on it?

Normally that doesn't bother me but in this case, the engine is so clean that it does really stand out. It's also the first time in history I have seen someone actually use a side terminal battery intentionally. And as if connecting battery cables to them is not already hard enough, they made both cables black.

Dang! I was so focused on the rusty manifolds in such a nice engine bay that I didn't even notice both battery cables were black.

And they used those crappy clamp on type cable ends. I used black cable for both battery cables on my 79 coupe, but I used solder on ends and used red Heat shrink on the positive cable.

So, since the pics were taken by the weather, is it a coffin or a boat that becomes a coffin?
