The USS Enterprise, CVN-65 is the only "Big E" I know of. I think she's still at Norfolk...

For those of you who aren't New Englanders, the Big E is the Eastern States Exposition grounds in West Springfield, MA. In late September and early October every year, they hold the "Big E" which is sort of a two-week state fair for the entire New England region and it totally messes up traffic in Springfield. During the rest of the year, they have swap meets, car shows, etc., to use the buildings and pay the rent.

Perhaps, perhaps. Or maybe the USS Enterprise CV-6, but she was called "The Big E" by her crew...

Brad ,I found another "Big E".

Another comes out of the woodwork or dust as it may be.

I've gone to this a few times, it's the same day as the motorcycle swap meet...only in a different building, so they get me for 2 entry fees.

Every time I go, when I'm leaving I say this is the last time. By the time you park ($10) get entry (another $10 x2) you're $30 in to look at a bunch of overpriced crap. The car side is a bunch of tables with chinese tools, bungie cords, ratchet straps and a couple booths with car parts (but they seem to be nothing I can use). The bike side of the show has a bunch of t-shirts, angels support merchandise, and leather. They at least have entertainment, a band or something going on.

I'll likely go because there's nothing else going on the 2nd week of January . But I'll likely complain again and say never again

I think parking is only $5 now.
I always saw it as the ONLY area car-fix to be found in the dead of winter.
Good event to pick up some parts and make contacts with.
