Default exhaust tip for the anni

Any suggestions? I can't find anything that even remotely resembles the original. I had to swap it out before it fell off and killed somebody.

This is what I'm using. It's pretty close to the original.

Mike and I discussed the exhaust for my turbo 4 (not sure of your set up but could apply). Designed as a better breathing set up, off the Magnaflow hi flow C.A.R.B. approved cat, the exhaust splits and runs out opposite sides of the fuel tank. LX tips, I believe, complete the look.

I like the one Smitty posted. It's very close to original and about the best you're gonna find (with the look of the original). I'd go with that.
    Cheers!

Smittys looks pretty dang close tho I seemed to remember my factory replacement one-installed circa'93-as being one piece up to the muffler. As I was in the garage organising stuff and drinking a beer (well, mostly drinking a beer)I took this of mine. Sure enough there's a weld...

Good call....not sure you can get any closer without dropping big money on a NOS complete rear tailpipe assemble, assuming you could find one.

I looked at the stinger but it wasn't quite right and I couldn't find a website that actually sold it. It is like the company disappeared...

I bought a similar dual chrome tip off ebay for use on my 82. Plan on welding it to a standard {shortened} 2-1/4" LX style tail pipe....

wow, several months ago every time I tried to follow a stinger link it was all dead. That looks good and nearly identical to the ebay part.

I popped for the one Smitty proposed also. Will post a pic once it gets installed.

Just had the new tip welded. Very nice. I had them tuck it under just a little more than Smitty's tip. Looks great and the sound is unchanged as far as I can tell. Guys did a good job sneaking it in there for 30 dollars. Was not easy with the tank so close.Name: WP_20151221_14_05_27_Pro.jpg

the stinger looks great. they had to cut mine up a bit since the straight pipe they had in there already didn't really work with that bent initial part. I also have 2.25 " pipes which they had to work with. THey ended up cutting the tip at an angle where it joined so they ended up with an equal diameter for the weld. I will try to get a better picture up close tomorrow.

Got the tip Smitty recommend installed yesterday. The fella struggled with it for a while but I think it turned out well. He also cut out and replaced some crap between the CAT and the muffler.

I think the only difference from the original is the distance between the pipes is maybe a 1/2 inch greater with the new one. Nothing I am going to complain about.
