    Default 1971-1986 Ford 302 engines

I have brackets from a 1986 Ford Mustang 302 HO engine for the altinator, power steering pump & air compressor. I want to add air to my1949 Ford F-1 with a 1971 Ford 302 engine The '71 engine has V-belts. The '86 is serpentine. Will the brackets from the 86 302 HO fit my '71 302? It's not a Mustang, but if the brackets fit it will have Mustang blood in its viens. It runs like a scalded dog.

Yes, the brackets will fit. You will need all the bolts and spacers to match. The most important thing is the water pump is reversed. You must use a water pump designed for the serpentine belt system. Also, you will probably need to reclock your alternator to fit in the brackets correctly (Wiring). Good luck.
