I am running the same in my PC right now, but my next handle will be the MGW as I believe it's adjustability will better suit my seating position.

I run the complete opposite. Tri-Ax Shifter with a Pro 5.0 stick and a Hurst grabber T-handle. I've tried all types over the years and that's my favorite combo.

Default So much for the generic..

Am super happy with my choice.
    http://core-shifters.com/

Soon gonna get a shifter for my Ranger from them too.

Replaced the Mustang's stock T-5 base in July. All is well.
A long standing what to do about and how problem solved.
No adjustments were required or needed. Bolt in and go.

Finally am enjoying manual shifting again, especially in traffic.
Installed a different 2" longer lever than stock for comfort and easier operation.

Correct factory or show type looks were not a priority here.
Stubby shifters have short throws, look sporty, but are located low and out of view.
Right hand and wrist needed to bend and move too far from the steering wheel.
Desire both hands on the wheel as much as possible when driving.
A 'for-real assessment' of "what would be the ideal shift setup for me?"
I sit a bit closer to the wheel (seat forward) than most. 5'9 but short limbs i guess.

The different lever resulted in too long of a throw with the stock base.
Needed to shorten up the pattern.
The new base did the trick. First time impression was wow this is it.
Did not have to think or relearn the pattern. Did and do not miss gates or gears.
Absolutely do not look back or wish i should have.. or went with any other setup, brand or combo.

The shift throws are exactly in the area i wanted. Road/drag race quick, firm, smooth, solid fun shifting.
Higher up than stock and closer to steering wheel (spread hand, thumb on wheel, little finger touches knob).
Had to figure out what i wanted (measured) and how to match the parts to get there. Success.

Core Shifters offers configs to get what you need. Very decent prices, communications, overall tech help
You have to make the final decisions on what to order. More than one choice is possible.
Doing homework on what you really need can result in something very special and a positive change.
A way to actually shift and drive the car the way you want, not how Ford or others think is 'right'.

Ordered a base direct from them, per their recommendations using the lever i had and what i wanted to do:
Core/Hurst Billet Plus SST base assy 3.03 fulcrum. Ford T-5 base plate.
Stub comes with std Hurst lever 2 bolt pattern allowing interchange.

Using Hurst 538-8009 chrome lever 10.5 h; bends 2.75" rearward, 1" left. Std Hurst knob. Both found at swap meet.

The boots i had needed trimming no big deal. Aftermarket top and factory bottom boots.
Everything looks normal. Bottom boot is correctly installed and sealed to base and tunnel with butyl.
    Trim plate sits normal.

Had a little apprehension in deciding which fulcrum setup to order.
Went with an aggressive attitude for a 40% reduction and not the 30%. Heck it's a Cobra.
Again no regrets. Done deal. Permanent. It's perfect for me, fits the car's personality, and stays.
Others have tried it out and said wow and nice setup.
