Default MCA 40th Anniversary - Sept 1-4, 2016 in Indianapolis

I did not put this in the Midwest region since the event will draw from all across the country.

For those of you that plan to come to Indy this summer for the big MCA 40th Anniversary event, stay tuned to this thread as Bob (roush235) and myself are working on a couple items for us FEP'ers. Preliminary plans are for a FEP cookout at my place (day/time TBD) and to help organize a M.O.R.E. parking group for our Four Eyed cars.

Anyone planning to come at this point?

My place is on the south side of Indy, about 20-25 minutes from IMS, and about 20 minutes from the host hotel....or any hotel in downtown Indy.

I've heard that registrations are coming in quickly. So, best to at least reserve your hotel if you think about going.

Mustang Club of America. National Mustang club for Mustang enthusiasts. Hosts 3-5 National shows per year in various locations around the country. Also now hosting driving events. Publishes outstanding magazine which covers all Mustang years and models. Known for judging rules and judged shows, but also has a growing class for Modifieds; display only cars also welcome. Access to discounts from manufacturers and vendors. Great place to make Mustang friends; I have met many FEP'ers at these events. I encourage everyone to become a member.

I've been a member of MCA since 2006. While I don't take advantage of all the National Events or other benefits, it's the top level club for our hobby so I have no intention of dropping out. Plus, Mary Jean and now Donald Farr do a kick a$$ job on the monthly magazine! Let's get a dozen or more Four Eye's together for this big weekend...come on y'all

As for the cookout, I had nearly 20 Saleens at my house for a cookout back in 2008...nothing would make me happier than to eclipse that number in Four Eyes next summer

I've been wanting to make it to some kind of national event and meet some FEP folks. I won't have time to drive my car, but could fly in for the weekend.

This cookout is for ANYONE that wants to skip the Friday evening stuff and hang out at a low-key, back yard BBQ and BS session I have only invited the fine folks here on FEP and some of my Saleen friends from the SCOA.

And yes Mike, you are correct...it was the summer I moved into this house, so it does NOT seem like 8 years ago!!

So we are a month out on this. Is there any interest for those that are planning to attend for a cookout on Friday evening after the track closes....or are you all planning to do the "Guiness World Record Line of Mustangs" on the track?

My place is on the south side of Indy and the Speedway is west side....about a 20-25 minute drive FYI.

    Jason,
Just booked a hotel at the Southport exit.....
Hopefully the Pace Car will be finished.........
I am planning on coming up Friday morning and going out to the speedway.......
Save me a spot in the group parking.
I would love to make the cookout on Friday evening.
I will touch base with you a little bit before the show.

    Take care.......

Hey Carl...I don't know if the M.O.R.E. parking for Four Eyes' ever came to fruition? Because I will be in the NPD Booth, I won't be able to save any spots in that. Hopefully I'll have more info in a few weeks about the cookout on Friday evening. Since you are at the Southport exit, that is only 15 minutes...easy drive to/from my house.
