Found these numbers on the radiator shroud and wondered what they mean. According to the marti report the release date of the car was 01/06/86 and the sold date was 03/08/86. Just wondered if these are factory #s or maybe thedealer prep date.

I posted a pic of similar markings on my 86. I was gonna add a pic from a book I have that mentioned it as a build date and unit number but I wasn't sure if that would be a copyright violation or something. I haven't gotten a Marti report on mine so I don't have any dates to compare it to.
I would think these markings were done by the tech that performed the PDI when car was prepped at the selling dealer.
