Ok so the parts started showing up today....so here is the first picture and should pretty much give it away.
Ordered a few more parts. I'll post pics as they get here. Just waiting to hear back on the crowning jewel.
That'll be so freakin' cool!

More parts! Should be getting more tomorrow.
Ok I can't help myself. This should be showing up next week. I'm pretty stoked.
I've decided to sacrifice the AC in order to put the alternator where the compressor would normally be and save some money by not having to buy the timing cover and pulley bridge. As soon as I have all the pieces I will start fabbing up some brackets.
More parts! Planning for future development as I call it.....ain't taking no chances.
<cough> Fuel pressure regulator? <cough> Attachment 91987
Just askin'.

Haha. Yeah there will be one installed before the car even runs for the first time. I was thinking about using the stock marquis system as it puts out 40psi but I don't know if it can supply the volume. I'll probably use the stuff out of the Zephyr with a regulator.
I feel like I'm 5 years old and it's Christmas morning. Got a couple side jobs to tie up then I'm going to strip the Zephyr finally and start building a mild monster that will over time evolve into a snarling, whining, ground pounding scary monster. I'm probably going to make a lot of progress a lot quicker until it is finally between the shock towers because I want to know what it will look like.
I'm hoping to sell my 55 Ford pickup tomorrow that will help fund this project.
Moved the car up to the other shop to pull the frame rail. Also took my spare Mark VIII motor up so I can build the supercharger motor.

That's it for now. Time to order more parts. Think I'm going to go with main studs.
Teksid block........
I'll keep suggesting this to you wagon guys till one of you decide to do it.
Hack off the 4 door, be the only guy on the planet to graft the fairmont door frame onto your wagon and make yourself a fairmont version of one of these.
Then you can either shorten (section) the entire body down to accommodate the coupe distance between the rear door edge and the front of the rear wheel opening, or leave it as is, and weld a modified cut down rear door shut where it'll look like what the falcon has going on in the above pic.
It's gotta be a similar chassis mod when they did the Durango.

Like this?
That would be totally bitchin but it's way more wok than I want to put into my $280 wagon. Though if I could find a falcon like you posted there is a 427 looking for a home....
Whatever are you taking about???
You've cut the front off of it, and are stuffing in a supercharged, 4 cam mod motor. Most people consider an intake manifold and cam change on the engine that's already in their cars a lot of work.
Let's check out the previous project......weren't you the guy that grafted a different front end on the last car, and went as far as modifying the radiator saddle, the fender mounting points, and then changed the entire cowl?
Was that a 250.00 car before as well?
You have a very valid point. It's just a whole different relm of body work I have yet to even begin getting into doing. (I'm only 24 for crying out loud, haha). I don't know if I'm ready to cut a car in half just yet. I would love to do a 2 door but I think it is still a few years down the road for me.
Also the previous one was $500....like it makes a difference. Haha
Somebody posted a 2-door wagon where they used the boxtop doors. I like that one a lot better.

Very cool build man. What trans setup are you thinking?
More parts were waiting for me when I got home! Unfortunately the flow is going to stop for a while as my POS 6.0 ate it's fourth high pressure oil pump yesterday. Time to fix it and trade it in for a newer one with less miles. Hopefully can get back to buying Mercury parts soon!
Got rid of the knock sensor bosses and made sure everything fits right before I have the block tanked.
Looking good.
