Default Anyone with an 82 GT?

Can you tell me the differences in size between the "GT" deck lid and dash emblems? Are they pretty close in appearance?

    Thanks

I don't believe my 82 GT has an emblem on the hatch, but I can try and measure my dash emblem for you today.

1984 Mustang GT owned since 1991 (first car). Mercury Mountaineer GT-40P engine, some suspension mods, currently undergoing a five lug SN95 brake upgrade and more suspension mods. Some minor body and interior mods have been done as well.

IIRC, the dash emblem is a little smaller but my memory isn't as good as it used to be.

Edit: I have had 2-1982 GTs and neither had the dash emblem. Did they all actually have one?

My car never had the hatch badge when I bought it so many years ago. I bought a re-pop from LMR a couple of years ago that still hasn't made it onto the car.

See the comparison to the original dash emblem.

Thanks! I like the design and was thinking of adding one to the p/s dash of my 84. Only the hatch emblem is available in repro. It looks like it might be a tad big though. I'll keep classified trolling I guess.

Definitely a fairly small GT when you start measuring it.

The early (winter 81 / spring 82) GT's did not come with the dash badge and the rear badge was a decal. Some say this is due to a late change in the name from SS to GT. the 82 GT I bought new in Feb. 82 had the rear decal & no dash badge.

Good to know. I was thinking it was removed or the dash replaced at some point.

I have an ss emblem, but. I think it's from an Escort. I do have the GTdash emblem as well. Feel free to PM me about it if you want.
    Cheers!

My '82 had the decal on the hatch and the dash. Don't remember its month of production, but I'm thinking it was Jan. or Feb. The C.U.N. was 155731.
