    Default 84 capri air is a no show

    1984 capri rs air does not work, when turned on I do not hear the clutch engage. Where should I start

    Check your fuses.

    +1 ^^^^ After checking the fuses, assuming they are still good, the next thing I would do is jump the pressure switch and see if that engages the compressor. If the compressor engages after jumping the switch then I would put a set of gauges on it as that typically signals that you are low or out of freon.

    Once you determine you have no freon in your A/C system by jumping the compressor switch as suggested above it's time for A/C service/conversion.

    Replace the accumulator, orifice tube and ALL 9 O rings in the A/C system. EASY DIY job.

    Evacuate and recharge yourself OR have a pro do it if you do not have the equipment.

    I have NEVER had a Capri/Mustang where I needed to do any more than that to get the A/C working properly and that includes never having to replace a compressor!
