Wow!!! That red interior is freakin beautiful!! I like that it has the "GT" steering wheel as well. Silver cars with red or blue interiors really float my boat. It looks like all it needs is a good cleaning and buffing on the paint and this ones ready for the road. Nice score!
    Cheers!

Another special two tone Capri, nice!

Thanks. It has a tiny bit of rust and the interior is amazing. I want to do a 3.8L supercharged thunderbird engine then paint the exterior DSG SVT Cobra and keep the interior just the way it is but with red RS/GT seats.

May want to rethink the exterior, I don't believe the two tone ones are very common.

Very nice. Don't see many of those anymore. I'd do the swap with a 5spd, upgrade the suspension, wheels, detail and drive that sucker!

But remember........the cars are not that rare so what color I do it will not change the rarity of the car.

Nice buy. I purchased the twin for my donor car. One owner all original with 46000 kms. Bought it from a junk yard even though it was mint.

Believe it or not this was the standard wheel on the "L" . The only difference from the RS and CC is that it is urathane wrapped and not leather wrapped. I used the the same wheel from my donor car, which was identical to this one, and had it learther wrapped.

Good score & if I read right that's a one year special 2-tone color which in my mind makes it a rare find...

"Quick Silver" HELL YEAH! That's the same two-tone as my first Capri (also an 83). Love it!

True, but I bet if that car was shiny like it used to be, that two tone would look really good and you definitely won't see another one. Of course, you can't go wrong with DSG either, that's a good color too.

Here's pic of my old 83RS from last fall when my buddy found it parked in North Edmonton. He texted me a pic while I was at work and I was so pumped it was still out there rolling around I stalked the current owner down lol.

It looks worse for wear but man it brought back so many memories!

I strongly urge you not to mess with the two-tone! I've only seen a small hand full of them in my travels. Just keep it in good shape as it is so I can buy it from you later! :P

LOL. OK I will keep it but I like that hood scoop. Looks like the hatch was swapped on that 83 with a 79-82. I like it. Oh and does your friend have car parts for the capri????

The hatch and I think the grill was swapped too.

I'll probably post some pics of the parts car in the black magic thread later. I hate the fact that it's getting parted out but at least a lot of the parts are being put to good use.
