    Smile Turbo's n stuff

Hey guys! I have a 1979 Mercury Capri RS turbo. This has the Carbed 2.3 turbo! I am just curious as to how the turbo is actually functioning as it is not connected to the exhaust in any way. Also, is it possible to make these motors quick? Not talking real fast but still fun to play around with. If not im going to consider swapping a later model 2.3 turbo in.

Hey, still post up some pics of the car. A green turbo RS, still sporting TRXs, is cool in my book! There's a thread on here about the ins and outs of the early turbos.

There's allot of good info here for daily living with the carbed turbo.

Wow, jade green, nice. Looks like someone has installed a tube header and probably done away with the crossover pipe, which would mean your turbo has been bypassed.
