If I was going to spending $1500 on "new tires and alloy wheels," my choices would have been different.

This car has a lot going for it:
** It's brown -- which is a totally cool color,
    ** It's a '78 -- which is the first year for it,
** It's got a chamois interior -- which is ... well, you know.

Maybe it has a $3500 "market correction fee" as some of the Ford dealers called it back when the 2003 Mach 1s came out.
1984 Mustang GT owned since 1991 (first car). Mercury Mountaineer GT-40P engine, some suspension mods, currently undergoing a five lug SN95 brake upgrade and more suspension mods. Some minor body and interior mods have been done as well.

Ah, yes. The value-add of new tires. Vehicular consumables are always an investment.
