Good score! Looks like the car was driven at least!

Incredible what is actually cost when it was all said and done. Over $31K for the optioned car and the "imrovements" made to it. It's kind of interesting they chose the 2.8L. Did they not know it was being phased out?

Thanks Travis and Mick. But working in Ford Marketing helped me out on this one. If you look at the invoice, it has a "TO" with the value of "Y". That is the type of order. Y=Product Planning and Styling Vehicle. Wish I could buy this car. I'm going to go look at it for sure though.

Amy I agree with you the badges threw me off too, they just looked fake?

They are fake! An auto manufacturer will make stuff up for prototypes or show cars. They may hand make it in-house, or have a vendor make a one-off. Shoot, they'll buy one from a Chevy or a VW dealer if they have what they want. The objective is to get the point across to the public. That's why it cost an additional $24,500 to make this car. It's done by hand with non-production parts!

GR Auto Gallery hours are M-F: 9am-5pm, Sat: by appt., Sun: closed.
Hopefully I can get there this week. I have to see this car in person.

Bill did you ever get a chance to look at this car? I see that it is still for sale.

    Very interesting reading.
I can't wait to hear the final verdict from you all on this car.
