I'm am too. I need to have a look at my driver's side window (not the same thing), but I'll be checking this out at the same time.

You're lucky. On an F/Z the bottom of the window just hangs out there in no man's land, so if you don't have absolutely perfect window bracket bushings (which I don't), they are free to move around.

Im really glad I found a quick easy fix for such an annoy condition. I still have to replace the felt on the other two windows.

Can I ask whats an F/Z?

finally fixed the passenger side. One metal tab was fully exposed. A small piece of felt and now both doors are quiet.

Its the little things that make me smile.

Do you have a better picture of the exposed tab...I assume the door panel will have to come off to get at it.

Glad you got it fixed and I was thinking it could have been those tabs as my vert has the same issue where it is missing them and the rattle is annoying.

bwguardian, yes the inner door panel has to come off and the tabs are about a 1/4" or so down on the inner door side. There are 3 of them and with the window down it's not that bad to get to them. If by chance the OP has already buttoned up his doors, I will be more than happy to take pictures when I get home and post them up so all of us vert guys can see them as my doors are still torn apart.

Let's add a little to this thread! My 84 vert does have the door window channel guide, part 21572, as seen in the below picture. It is in both doors.

I was a ways off on my guesstimate measurements. The felt lined tabs are as follows measured down from the inner door rail where the panel/dew wipe clips.....front, 2 3/4", middle 1" and rear 2 1/4". The top of the guides are easily accessible from the top and the bottoms are easily accessible from the large hole in the middle of the inner door which should make installing new felt a breeze.
