    Default My 76 Cobra II

A good friend decided he wanted it more than I did so I sold it last week and this is how it sits now

    a list history and specs

my dad painted it and installed the engine for a friend, then bought it, then I bought it from my dad

the engine is the original 302 bored balanced and blueprinted by Heintz Bros Racing, arp hardware shaved ported factory heads with 351 valves, screw in studs ,roller rockers, etc, edelbrock intake, 600 holley, headers 3 inch exhaust, flowmasters dumped at the axle

    cam specs are comp cams, 296-305 advertised duration, 246-253 @ .50 .544 .560 lift 108 ls 3800-6800 operating range

    c4 with stall convertor

the wheels came off a 79 I had, 14 inch American racing libre wheels, tires are 235 60 14 , rumor is that CS bought the patterns and rights to this style wheel

yeah I forgot how good it looked ,but it's only a couple miles away, I pretty much just kept it stored and never drove it, it was painted and the engine work done sometime in the early mid 90's

The first Mustang I drove was a 74 notch. It was my first wife's car when we met. We traded it in 81 for our first Fox bodied Mustang.
When it was totaled in 83 I was looking at a II Cobra T Top to replace it but was not quick enough
And a few years ago some kid asked me if my 84 Capri was a Pinto.

Seeing one of those is getting pretty rare, and that one is really nice. Maybe he'll sell it back to you?
