    Default 5 speed transmission from a 1992 2.3L

Would the transmission and bell housing from a 1992 2.3L be a WC T5 transmission? There is a guy close to me selling one but he doesn't know anything about it other than its a 5 speed and that it worked good when he pulled it out. Just wondering if it would be a direct bolt on for my 83GT or what kind of mods I would have to do to it to make it work? Thanks for any advice!

The four cylinder bellhousing won't work. The transmission will have lower gears and require a special pilot bearing because the end of the shaft is smaller. I can't answer the World Class part, but with the right bellhousing and pilot bearing it will work.

the 4cyl t5 has a .82 5th instead of a .68 due to the 2.3 not having the grunt to push the .68

The 4cyl trans isn't going to be a world class in the sense that it will be anything close to the strength of a WC from a 5.0.
