It isn't... It appears to be molded from urethane and it seems to have shrunken with age. Bad news is... it's a one-year-only grille and specific to the LTS. Good news is... I found THREE (!!!) NOS grilles on the locator! For that matter, I've also found both LTS-specific taillamp lenses, both LTD LX/Marquis LTS specific headlight doors, and a horn pad, all NOS, already! Life as a Ford Parts Guy is good !

That's exactly it. The cars were so rare parts will be hard to find, but you won't be bidding against anyone else! You'll never see another one like yours either.

The locator we use at work (I'm a parts guy at a Lincoln dealer, go figure ) is that it's subscription only, and it ain't cheap to subscribe to it. In fact it's a small king's ransom ! Going to be ordering up parts come Tuesday, not gonna snooze and lose .

One of the guys over at ASC McLaren posted some time ago looking for one. I was able to give him a lead on a guy near me in Windsor, Ont. that had one, but it didn't pan out.
Glad to see one was found. Looking forward to your progress.
By the way, I think we all have a unicorn, of sorts. Mine is an '80 Anniversary Thunderbird.

Strangely enough, no. They're the same p/n's as the non-LX LTD moldings, go figure.

The only one that needs replacing is the smashed one on the right fender, and as luck would have it I found an NOS one . Nothing yet on the 3 deck lid nameplates tho, may have to restore those, put my old model car building skills from way back to good use !
