Good advice. Lighting, composition, framing, perspective.

I'd like to throw in a couple prompts:
    a) don't shoot into the sun - take pictures from the same side as your light source. Also: clouds make great light diffusers - they give your shot more even lighting.
    b) With cars, your money shot is the front 3/4. If you can only show one pic of your car, that's usually the angle you want.

Some people struggle with the difference between "artistic" photos and photos whose purpose is to convey information. The kind of dramatic shots you might see in a magazine are not the kind you need to sell your car on craigslist or wherever.

Very good add on information, there is a very distinct difference shooting photos for artistic reasons vs trying to market and sell your car.

Just remember that you don't need use the most up to date camera to achieve fantastic pictures.
All of my work on @GOTAWD https://www.instagram.com/gotawd/ is done with an iPhone.
I do have a Canon EOS Rebel T2i and I barely touch it.
Practice and just have fun with it.
    Enjoy your photography.
