Okay, I'm perplexed... How is this car still for sale?!?! Only 519 3 door, LX 5.0/GT's in 1984 were painted Light Desert Tan (8Q). This looks to be one!!! That's less than Bright Copper Glow (9C) at 840 produced. Though the car's been repainted the engine bay is tan which makes it pretty obvious the color is correct. Come on FEP, find this car a good home. I'd love to have it but I've already got two to restore and no more room.

Why buy another red, black, gray or white GT, when you can have a color rarely seen? Hey Fidel, is there a buck tag? Make sure the color is (8Q) and not (9N), Ford only produced 64 in Desert Tan Glow (9N)...

I'll step off my soapbox now...

    GLWS buddy!

Thanks man, believe me I checked to see if it was 8q vs 9n... if it was 9n this car would stay iny collection. . Thanks for the bump again...

I'd love to have it but I decided in 2003 I didn't need two 84 GTs and sold the 9W car in favor of my original black 84. I'm surprised at that price it's still for sale.
1984 Mustang GT owned since 1991 (first car). Mercury Mountaineer GT-40P engine, some suspension mods, currently undergoing a five lug SN95 brake upgrade and more suspension mods. Some minor body and interior mods have been done as well.

Totally get that Travis T... there's never a replacement for your first 'Stang. With mine demolished in an accident, I will never know the joy of reuniting with the car that started my love affair with fox body Mustangs.

Anyway, another bump for Fidel's 8Q GT!!! Unique = Cool, IMO...

Wouldn't last a day at that price around here. Heck, I'd buy it if it were closer! There's a pile of junk just down the road. Similar color, but body looks like it was trampled by buffalo. Rust everywhere. Missing trim. Oh, and it's a 4cyl auto and the asking price is $3,000.

Something like that! I got to see this car in person over the weekend and I knew I needed it to fulfill my V-8 5 speed childness. It is nice and will give me plenty of time to put the vert back to stock and enjoy the best of both worlds.

Don't get me wrong, not going to abuse it. this is a nice car that runs and drives and it will probably take priority over the vert as it is not near the project. When the deal materializes, it will be coming to a good home.

Well, I'm glad you have a deal pending, Fidel. You're "only" 12 hours from me and that is an awesome car for that price.
