I have originals that should be here on Tues. Kelly Lane ,AKA Shadylane, in NM is sending them. Expensive ,but what I wanted.

It's so near ready to start, but has been so hot. Just doing small things now. Got the strut brace.

Wow, I'm glad to hear you got what you wanted!

It's ludicrously hot here too. I've been neglecting to mow my lawn for weeks.

Have to do mine every 7 days. I can only get about 4 hrs of work a day, before it is too hot.2 in the morning and 2 after 7 at night.
Just finished another short block for a future eng for the Zmont. I have a Zephyr grill that I really like , that and the Z taillights will make it a Zmont.

Too bad you don't live near my upholstery man. He's really good and doesn't mind special projects.
He had my FED in his shop 2 days and it came out really nice.
I expect in about 3 weeks you will be looking at my ft seats.
I want the windows tinted and the exhaust on first. Shops are next door to each other.

The day has come that I have been putting off. I made appointments for my exhaust, and window tint for the same day, next door to each other. Then carried my seats to the shop 18th of next month they will be ready.

Now for the biggie. I don't have a fuel line set up yet. All my fault. I did pour some gas into the carb and it fired right off. All cyls had warm header pipes so all is good. Just happens that was when the wife showed up. She liked open headers. That's all she has heard from my cars.
Tomorrow will get the fuel line run and some antifreeze in the beast.
Thanks for all the support and help. Will get some pics after the 11th.

3 gal of antifreeze and only one fuel leak. 65 psi on the oil ,it ran for about 10 min ,with no fan, only got to about 125.
Next fix fuel leak, and finish mowing grass. Sounds real good, and is like lightning revving with the small carb.

I get my ft seats back tomorrow, the windows are tinted, and the exhaust is good.

A friend who is an excellent carb person looked at my factory refurbished autolite 4100 and when he opened it up there were several things wrong. He gave it back to me this evening ,and I got it running, now I have a trans cooler leak, in a new rad and it still won't idle.
The exhaust sounds good at 1500 rpm.
No leaks otherwise. Tried propane with no increase in speed. My dist is touching the thermostat housing so I am going to pull that and see if I can get some more advance.
I was hoping for a video ,or at least some pics.
Last wed I had a piece of metal find its way into my left eye and that has been a Dr visit a day. Now I go back on Thurs.

Thanks Brad. It does not seem like a lot, but it is coming along. Today it moved under its own power for the first time.

I had to repair a leaking lt rear wheel cyl and I really need to bleed the brakes. Have not bled them since I did the ft brakes ,a few mos back.

I thought the bleeding had stopped on expenses, but just got a bill for the primer and all the parts that go with it.

When I get it running with all the bells and whistles, and insurance ,I'm going to the upholstery shop for the head liner, then I can start putting the interior together.

Up date on the idle. I t was retarded. I pulled the dist and gave it one tooth of advance ,now it idles ok. Not the carb, my fault.

    Thanks for all the encouragement.

Progress is progress. I haven't had reason to update my build thread in quite a while. Can't wait to see that interior assembled!

Jt thanks. Good to see a new face on my post. A little bit of thumbs up goes a long way for a old man.

I still have to get my TV cable set up. Then the sn95 ft brakes.

Have been working with my Grandson on a sprinkler system install. so not much progress.
I decided to bleed brakes ,since I had not since the 8.8 install and the ranger 5 lugs on ft.
One of the ft calipers would not release the bleeder screw, and I didn't want to break it off.I went to the rear. One side bled, then the other side the bleeder screw didn't want to release. Not wanting to break it off.Ordered a new wheel cyl and will install the emg brake cable as well.

I'm having a problem with the TV cable. One is that I'm using a non std carb. It's an autolite 108. It's what I want to run for gas mileage. I may have to rethink that, and go with a 500cfm holley.
SN 95 ft brakes next .

Not the 350CFM 2bbl Holley? If you have the right touch, you could use the 4180 4bbl but accelerate in a way as to not open the secondary - 4bbl's theoretically could get better MPG than the 2bbl. I've never been able to prove it -keep falling for the quick acceleration. lol.

Time for an up date. It's been almost 3 weeks.
The carb problem is fixed with a 600 cfm Edelbrock I bought off e bay. Floats were installed upside down, fuel every where. I started it with the pump off let it run for a sec then pump on. Fixed the carb and it's perfect, idle around 600 .

Next TV cable, and I have a fix for that.

Put some new rear wheels with more B/S and I have all kinds of room. These wheels are 5.5 b/s 8'' wid.
Going to cut another 1/2 coil off the rear. That will be tomorrow.
Hope to have some pics on sat.

Ft end parts are all removed waiting on my coil over kit on Monday.

I tend to jump around on my work, like 4BMike stated. Cleaning ft end parts before painting, doing yd work and building in my shop.
When this project gets finished will have a better place to park my 27 roadster.

A friend just offered a notch back mustang to me. I don't want another project.I want to drive and enjoy.
