Looks good...you should paint the wheels body colour when it's done and the caps will really pop!

You know, come to think of it, I replaced that nut on both front brake lines on my car. So, in the end you might as well put on the right nut for both soft lines and you don't even end up needing that adapter! Good thing it's cheap...

It's looking great. The caps are an unusual choice, very retro.

What I am trying to achive is a 64 5 falcon ,comet ,fairlane look. I could not afford any of those cars, and a box top is close. They are all blunt nosed cars.
The big difference is that you can do almost any thing to the fox plat form. .
    Thanks M/P

Not much progress to report, due to back issues. I bought and installed a wooden Grant steering wheel .It's similar to the ford wheel from the 60s. Looks nice, and is what I wanted. The back side window leak is fixed.

Now to my recliner and a good book.

    Merry Christmas to all.

Enough about back problems and Christmas. I'm ready to work.

All the time since I started this project I wanted a manual fuel pump . Like an early carbed eng. I have the ft cover off and am ready to install the cam eccentric and 83 ft cover.
The original gas line had been removed from the car,so I will have to install a new line. Not looking fwd to lying on my back and working that way.
At last test run the trans was not shifting as I liked it. When I get the car running again that will be the next major project.
Will try and get a pic of the steering wheel and the torn apart dash.

Ok folks it's that time again. Old man has been diagnoised with moderate to severe arthritis in the lower back.Live with it and doses of 800 mg of motrim.
    Last time gripping and complaining.
Thanks to Brad the s/w pic is posted. It's a grant with a special adapter for the turn signal horn. It looks like a 60s style. I like it and it was what I wanted.

The fuel pump cover and pump is finished. Just need to get under the car and plumb a new line.

I have installed Halogen head lights and they are great. Here is the BUT, when I turn my turn signals on either way, the head lights blink also. Same with the emg flashers. When I bought the car it came with NOS parking lights. What a difference between old and new. I have painted the plastic chrome trim semi gloss black and it looks good.

Fear and 83 thanks for the props. Really makes me want to get out and work. Keep it up guys.

I like the old school approach on the wheels. I would have to vote on, "A" silver over "B" maroon on the paint job.
This is a cool looking project you have there.
I hope to get a lot done on my Fairmont project once the weather warms up a bit.

X2 We just went from high's the low 40's to mid 70's in a week. But I love the chance to get some outside work done and start "thawing" out the cars. Should be making passes in the Zephyr the first week of April. You need to get back on this animal and get her done!

Good luck on the Z car.

When I built my first one it had a definite plan and it came together very quickly, but that was in 85.
I have made more changes to this one than ever before.

Our weather is in the hi 70s to lower 80s and yard work is a ever going subject.

My plan now is to be limping on the road by the 1st of May. Keep up the good work.

I have found some of the ends that were color coded, and identified them.
I have a 79 Mustang schematic and one for the 78 Fmont for the dash swap.
I understand that is pretty much straight fwd.

What are you up to these days?

There are some real nice cars going up for sale.
