Default question on 85/86 GT interior parts

I know this may be a dumb question, but will all the 85/86 Gt interior stuff interchange.. Thanks

Yes...the only issues you would have is if you're swapping from a GT convertible to a GT hatch, otherwise everything will work. Convertibles have different sized rear seats, rear interior panels, door panels (they will fit a hatch but the carpet size is different), etc.
    Cheers!

In a word, yes. But, interior wiring (body/chassis)...yes. Engine and dash harness...no (carb or CFI vs EFI in 1986).

What specific parts are you thinking of?

With the exception that two different cars may be optioned differently, ie. one with power window and door locks and the other without. Therefore, the door panels would not be the same. Or cruise and no cruise...but, you can generally make anything work.

If you are doing a color change, sure no problem.

TopGear85 is correct. Stick to the same body style.

I have a lot of pictures, He has everything except carpet and original radio for 85 - his radio was not a premium sound am/fm cassette radio...

I got my interior suff today, I hope I got a good deal. the front seats are perfect, the rear seat are very nice just need a good cleaning (got two sets). The dash is complete except for dash pad. I don't think I can use the dash since its from a cfi car. I got both door panels all hardware and complete seat belt set, both rear interior quarter panels, window sails, trim pieces and insturment cluster with a 140 mph speedo (nice) one nice fog light and the cover for the disturbitor, the center console with arm rest, also the rear pull out cover for the hatch (looks brand new). there was also a pair of T-Tops with bags.I almost forgot tail lights and complete interior wiring harness.

What are you working on? Color change? The 140mph speedo (if it's a Motorsport unit) is highly desirable and they fetch a good buck on eBay. So depending on what you paid total, you might be able to get some or all your money back from the sale of just that speedo. Also, why wouldn't you be able to use the dash? Are you talking about the dash hull, or the wiring? The dash hull will interchange no matter what, but if by "dash" you meant the dash harness, then yes it will be different for a cfi car.

So what's the plan? Let's see what you scored.
    Cheers!

I was talking about the harness, I didnt need the dash, but he wanted to sell all of it. I'm not doing a color change, just needed some newer parts, my front seats could be recovered, but my back seats are out of a lx mustang, they are in very good shape but dont match my grey with red piping front seats (lol). I dont think the speedo is a motorsport speedo, but it does say ceriified calibrated. I'll try and get pictures soon. just curious how much do you think I should have paid for all of it, ballpark.I can compare your answer with what i paid...HaHaHa

That's an SSP speedo. Not worth quite as much as a Motorsport, but still rare and desirable. Good score. I need a set of mint charcoal with red piping seats for my 85, but I'm not having the luck you had.
    Cheers!

+3 on the seats. Mine used to look that good when I first bought them but leaky t tops ruined them.
Those SSP speedos are great, had one in my 84Gt.
All you need is a non Cruise Sport steering wheel and you'll be all set.
