neutral switch to reverse lights on svo

Hi guys, just found out i am out of reverse lights, but the bulbs are ok, so i went under the car and notice a conector hanging from the tranny sector. one of the 3 wires of the harness ( the white one ) is cuted out of the harness.
turns out to be a female harness with 2 holes, so i found the tranny had a swith with 2 male post that fit the other one (do the math) i plugged it back but still no reverse lights. is it the white wire that is not conected?
is it the reverse light conector at all? maybe the hanging harness is for other use.

That should be the right connector, I would check a wiring schematics for your car.
