Oh so slow. I want to go cruising.
Probably should have started with a better one, but I bought it new in 79 and I still love her.
Hope you guys like it
Kirk
Progress is progress! You will enjoy it so much better knowing you put the effort into your car versus a new to you one.
PS: I feel your pain!

Very cool. Nice job on the rust repair. I know you climbed inside it while it was outside and pretended to drive it.

It may take awhile to finish, but it will be worth it in the end. Especially considering you've had the car from new. Great work so far, keep the updates coming.

Major surgery, I didn't know if she would survive.
But we made it through together.
New quarter panels, rockers outer wheel well housings.
New floor boards. No more Flintstones " Yaba Daba Dooo !
Roof repair and pillar repairs too
Thank god for the full length sub frame connectors or I think it would have broken her in half.
Weld and grind and rinse and repeat.
And repeat some more, and well -----
You know the rest!
Wow, awesome work. That's major surgery for sure. Who makes the device that's holding the car?
lot of work there progress looks great
The Rotisserie was manufactured by Accessible Systems of Johnson City, Tennessee.
Located Close to Bristol Speedway.
I hooked the camper up to the old Superduty pick up, and picked it up while vacationing in the Smokies a few years back.
It's been a very nice unit. I got to meet the owner Joel and his wife. Great salt of the earth people making great quality products.
A real Mom and Pop small business.

That's the same style and brand that I bought probably 15 years ago. Looks like they have made some changes to the unit, but overall about the same. Good quality unit and very sturdy. I had a lot of Mustangs, Camaros, Chevelles, Firebirds, Trans Ams, and a couple of truck cabs on that unit over the years. Worked really well. I could really use it now, but it's sitting in my old shop (now Dad's) just doing nothing.

Just picked up a set of 19" Brembo wheels with Perelli P Zero Sport tires off Craigs List.
These are like new. The guy I bought them from bought a 2014 Stang then drove over to the tire store and had new wheels and tires installed.
They still have the nubs on them.
I picked them up for $850.00 already mounted and balanced.
I couldn't even buy the tires for that.
So the plan is they go on the The 2006 and the Original 17" Bullet wheels off the 2006 go on the 79 Cobra.
Fox body Steve Mcqueen style
Forget the Mcqueen green becuase this Fox is going be a Blue Bullet.
Sorry for holding back on you guys, but I have finally found a little time the last few days to post some of this stuff.
It also helps to finely have a fast computer to do this.
I figured my time was better spent working on the car than working on the blue screen of death.
Maybe that's why I decided on blue. Nah
I have been trying to post good pics for you guys ,but when I post them they all seem to post with about 1/3 of the frame chopped off/missing.
Any suggestions on how to avoid this.
Wow, this is incredible.
Can't help with the pictures, I post mine on Fickr then link to them here.
