Default 83 Race Car for me!

Excited for a deal I struck with a long time racer friend. In the end I will acquire a 1983 Mustang A-Sedan SCCA race car. He needs help building 4 more Miatas for his race team, on a tight deadline, I am assisting in the cage builds and car set up. The Mustang is very fast, lots of custom suspension set up, like a mumford link in the rear any many other cool set up stuff. It is in storage now, but I will thow up some pics as soon as I can. Gonna be sweet. Excited to get into a race car that is not as nice as my car so I can push it much harder. More to come...

I'm sure it will need some work, he has not raced it in 3 or 4 years. His last race he won a national championship in it.

That is very cool. I'm itching to get back into autocross but I want to build a Mustang that would be effective as an open track car. That looks like a bunch of fun.

Looks like a fun ride, last summer there was a local guy done some autocross with a supercharged aero Fox vert, congrats on the car.

I actually found a chassis for my Gloy Capri Body Panels, but it looks like I am a bit too late . . .

Good Luck with the Mustang it looks like a blast!

I recently played mechanic at a soon to be closed historical track called Texas World Speedway in College Station, Texas. Sadly, for a housing development. Those guys involved in SCCA are the nicest people I've ever met. They will go out of their way to help, loan parts etc. You will love that aspect of it as I'm pretty sure you are aware of already.

Default 83 Race Car for me!

Yeah most SCCA and NASA people I meet are very nice and helpful. The SCCA autocross is a little "clickly" but still nice.

Funny, when talking with someone and you and him are grinding and working... you don't hear so clearly... I thought he said "in a storage container with stuff on top of it" nope, he said "out behind the storage container with snow on top of it". I had been behind his shop a few times that evening, and well, you can see why I missed it...

There's a lot of good things already done to that one though. That is a very nice score.
