    Default Dropped Off the 86GT

I haven't posted in a while I purchased a rolling 86 gt back in March 2013 since then I have redone the brakes with all 5 lug Rager stuff (new minus the drums and axles junkyard finds) also redone the suspension with new steering rack all new shocks and bushing ball joints ect. So fast forwards to just this past Thursday 2-5-14 I took it to Ross Auto Body in winchester Ky just 30 mins away it to have it completely repainted all minor rust and flaws repaired and a full jams and all paint job 2400$ for those of u wondering just thought I would catch u guys up to date and share my progress

As for the engine compartment I stripped and redid that my self it's a semi gloss black (turned out pretty nice)

And as for the drive train I sourced a low mile roller 302 I am replacing all the bolts with a stainless set for summit and I have had a set of e7s reworked Ederbrock performer intake and a brand new Edelbrock 600cfm carb still trying to source a good t5)

So that's where I'm at with it looking at 3 weeks til the body is done. (I posted it in this section because after the body is done I will posted all other progress)

So what color are you painting it? Going back with the Orange or something different?

I am not normally an Orange fan, but I have to say it looks pretty good on your GT. Gives it a bit of the early 4 Eye feel while still being an 86 GT. The lower two tone looks good too!

    Good Luck!

To be honest I'm not 100% sure when I drop the car off we where look at blues I picked a new camaro blue but I have a til Thursday to make my final discussion bow think long and hard about it the original color is maroon so now leaning towards a newer dark red metallic something similar to factory but a little more updated also one other thing is to eliminate the emblems or keep them what's everyone's thought on that? I'm thinking dark red metallic with satin black moldings and eliminate all emblems minus the ford on the front bumper

For blues, personally, I'm a huge fan of Sonic Blue Pearl.

I love the Orange/black two tone. Almost early Cobra style. But I also get your choice of red. I love the new metallic red of the 2014 Fords.

Well its been a long 5months since I dropped the car off at the body shop well lets just say that painter is very unprofessional and put it on the back burner to say the least but it's finally done I picked it up yesterday and took it to a buddy's shop here local it's just sitting there waiting waiting on a drive train and nice set of wheels

Anyway .... here she is in her Redfire glory.
