Default Only One Four Eye at Barrett Jackson Scottsdale 2015

Has anyone else watched the coverage of Barrett Jackson on Discover/Velocity? Only four eye sold was a 1979 Mustang Turbo survivor for $5725. Great looking car, and well bought!

A couple other thoughts regarding this year's auction and coverage... Discover/Velocity picked up right where Fox Sports left off, except they ditched the Hagerty Bid game which kept viewers engaged throughout the entire week. Being in the collector car hobby, I always enjoyed seeing my "perceived" value compared to the actual sale price.

The biggest change and disappointment in my book was the end of the "no reserve" Scottsdale auction. I understand the inclusion of some incredibly high profile cars made it necessary but the energy and atmosphere were no where near as electric as in the past. It also shows the collector car market is a tough business, unless you can afford classic Ferrari's!!!

This appears to be the one that was bought on CL for $3200, then flipped on EBAY for $4,900 now Barrett's for $5,700. We discussed the great price on CL...guess next time we need to act.

That's funny... If car was kept in AZ the whole time seller made a nice ROI. But if there were transportation costs, at best he broke even after auction fees.

The reason I think it's still a good value is the combo or originality and documentation.

Auction was in Scottsdale so the EBAY buyer probably was close to break even after auction fees.

Saw the Indy Turbine car miss getting sold. Highest bid was like $1.2M

I think the car look better with tint off.
