    Default will pony r 17x10 with 275/40 r 17 fit???

No doubt in my mind that I want to run pony r 17 on my stock 85 gt 4 lug. To me its just a nice clean look. I will most likely run 17x8 in the front and would like to add the 17x10 in the rear but do not want to remove quads or beat the inner fenders on my 43000 mile fox. From what I read people squeeze 17x9 275/40 r 17 without a problem on the rears how does the 17x10 fit with this tire setup

I had a 285/40 NITTO NT555 on my old '81 'Stang with 17 x 10 Pony R's. They fit, just had to roll the wheel well lips.

Looks so good thank you escogt. I look at your cars everyday just never knew what you were running for tires and what u did to run that 10 wide. Happy to know that's all you did and still get to keep tail pipes. I talked to Demetrius the other day and have been going crazy for days looking at tires for overall width hight everything and didn't want to go to crazy just to run that wheel thanks again man.

No bother. They were the stock 4 lug axles. Wheels were stock offset too.

I have the Saleen SC rep wheels in 17x10 with 275/40/17 tires. Tried swapping quad shocks - no go had to remove them. They fit by removing quads and no fender roll on mine however there is barely a half inch of clearance on inner wheel well and slight inner rub when turning and dipping of rear suspension.

    Great choice!

The Pony R 17X 10'S are listed as 23.9 mm offset, but else-ware it stated as 6.29" backspace.

    Which is it?

I ran the combo through this http://www.ccwheel.com/technical-converter.php

and got a different offset to the literature.
