So I was doing some searching around here along with Google and was wondering if there was a way to test our tachometer's out of circuit. I found a how to http://accutach.com/Documents/TestingTachSpeedoR1.pdf for 94-04 tach testing and was thinking using a car battery and car charger would work similarly for 4-eyes tachs.

Does anyone have any input on this on how to make this happen? I am trying to rule out a dead tach, worn connector, or worn/bad flex print on the back of the cluster.

I'm convinced with what I have found that there's got to be a way to make the needle jump/hold steady without the use of professional grade equipment.
