Really.....didn't know they made those. Thanks for the heads up,gonna look into some of those myself. BTW, what's the rest of the drive train specs and what does she run? I'm really digging the white with black wheels.

That is one good looking 83. I love those new valve cover, just not the price tag!

Thanks! Yeah those valve covers weren't cheap! They were a splurge
Damn!!....That big Windsor is sweet!! Running 10's N/A is showing that puppy has some power. You must live in California or Florida for tracks to be still open? Good luck on that 10 second time slip and make a thread when it happens and get some video of those wicked launches!!
Car doesn't seem to have problems with traction. This is at a track where everyone complains of the prep too. Oh and I just looked and the d/a was in the 400's an hour ago
Damn.....that baby really moves out even bogging a little bit. What's your launch RPM? Seems like it wants some more because of the slight bog after the wheelie. Sounds like you need some more rear gear too. I could be wrong, but from the video's it sounds like you are just going into 4th right before the stripe. Still, that's one bad ass Mustang you got there.
Sick launches, both first and second gear...
It looked like it was wanting to take flight! That's one stout car.

6k launch. It's not really bogging. I think that's just the video. I don't want to change the gearing yet because I am going to be throwing nitrous on it.
Yeah that's why I needed to make some suspension upgrades. The rear shocks were way to soft. I just through strange adjustables on it, all the way around.
looks great!

Looks great! What kind of undercoating did you use? I'm thinking of doing something similar to my 83 soon.
Ok so I haven't updated this thread in a few weeks, so I thought I would share. I changed some suspension parts and was able to get the car to run an 11.3@121. I could have probably got it down to an 11 flat but on my last outing, when th DA was down in the 400's, I got benched because the track officials discovered that my harnesses were expired. I ran an 11.3 and an 11.4 and they shut me down. Anyways so I went out and bought a new harness and 300 more ponies.
Parts list:
New RJS Harness of course
NX 50-300hp Holley plate kit
NX Gen-X 2 Carb Accessorie Kit
NX Maximizer Progressive Controller
MSD Digital Timing retarder
Holley Blue fuel pump and regulator
Other little miscellaneous Parts
Oh boy..... Somebody is getting ready to have some fun!!! Get ready for some mean and nasty launches!!
Oh ya! I'm the most excited to play with the progressive controller and timing retarder. It's going to allow me to make some awesome adjustments on the fly! My goal is to be running 1.3 60 foots with the car dialed in to a 10 flat. I will probably dip it into the 9's just to say I did it and then play with it for a while before making some safety changes to allow me to run faster.
Cool.....please make a thread about your track outings with the nitrous because i got a buddy with a 347 and were getting ready to do the same to his. He is getting a progressive controller and timing retard also because were going with a 200 shot. It will be nice to compare notes on timing and adjusting the progressive controller.
Will
Do you have a stock k member? If so, did you drop it in with the long tubes attached? I plan on swapping to a 351 in my 85 and I know the 1 3/4 BBK longtubes were a beotch to get on with the engine in....ended up having to lift it out about 4 inches anyway. I got BBK 1 3/4 longtubes for the 351 when I swap and a Lakewood scattershield.

Did you use the granitelli that looks like a MM K member? And granitelli a arms? I was wondering how it did with wheel base. I've read most of the k member move the wheels forward, except the MM if you get the reverse offset arms.

I'm really not sure which one was put in the car. The old owner put it in. It does look a lot like the MM one though. I don't have tubular a arms on the car. Just the stock ones. I run 00 GT wheels on the street which I believe are 8" wide and they will rub the a arm when I turn the wheel too far. I do plan on switching to tubular a arm eventually though.
