Great pickup Amy. My favorite color combo for Cobras. Good to know it is in good hands. Will be looking forward to hearing your plans after you decide. Hardly ever see a 79 Cobra on the show field.

Thanks Bob! Right now I want to finish up some minor stuff on the 84. But eventually I think I really want to restore it and show it. Thanks Tony!!

Love the '79 Cobra! Especially like the fact that you found one of the few alternates. I had one too but the original owner had removed the original molding with the lime green stripes. Anyway, great find and look forward to what you will do with the car!

So very cool, I can't believe these are still out there. I'd leave it as is, just get rid of incorrect items and buff the old paint, I bet would look very decent. How much is something like this going for?

Thanks everyone. I paid $3500 for the car. I have not made too much progress on it yet. The weather has been awful lately. I did get it titled and tagged. We got new hatch struts installed. And I got a 79 radio for it. Getting brake parts this weekend. Hoping to drive it next weekend to cars n coffee. I really don't have the money to restore it right now. I just want to get it running. I do want to get it buffed and see how it looks.

I like the covers as well but prefer the clear to the tinted. I'm not a fan of blacking everything out like that.
