make sure your lock ring is flat, and the tabs on the tank didnt bend out a little, that will leave too much slack between the ring and seal and tank, when you 'twist" the new ring on keep an eye on the tank tabs and make sure they are all contacting the ring the same and tight.

Well I finally had a decent day to work on the pace car. I installed the new gasket and lock ring on the tank. So far no leaks. I finished installing the fuel pump. I reinstalled the injectors, fuel rails and plenum and installed new taillights. When installing the lights I did find that the dang squirrels had made lunch out of one of the light harnesses. I can repair them so nothing devastating. Tomorrow we will see if she is now getting fuel. Hopefully she runs!Name: IMG_20150204_125636177.jpg

Well I put 5 gallons if fuel in it and did not see any leaks so that's a plus. I tried to start it and no go. I checked the fuel rail and no pressure. I cannot hear the pump coming on. Should I be able to hear the walbro pump since it is a inline?

get the volt meter out, check for voltage at the pump wires with the key on, hopefully you just blew a fuse during install

That's what I am hoping. Where is the fuse panel on these cars?

Right underneath the lower dash panel under the steering column, left-hand side. All Foxes have the fuse panel there, at least on the 3 Foxes I have owned over the years. The pump should prime for 2 seconds when the key is turned to the 'run' position then shut of, it will have constant power with the key in the 'start' position and once the engine is running. The fuel pump relay is usually under the driver's seat, but I am not sure what harness your car has with the transplant.

I just wired how the po had it wired. The pump I removed was working but it was just to small of a pump. I am going to check it with a meter tomorrow. It was just to cold today.

You should probably double check the pump wiring. Judging from the 87-88 TC harness, and the IRCM on the passengers side strut tower, it's possible the pump is wired into the IRCM. You could do it that way, or just wire a normal relay and trigger it with the ECU. The IRCM is just a group of relays on a solid state board, the computer doesn't care if it's triggering the integrated relays or individual relays.

I figured out the pump issue. I had to work on the taillight wiring and had unplugged the fuel safety switch duh. Plugged it back up and now getting plenty of fuel to the rail. I still cannot get it to fire. It will fire on starting fluid but that's it. I have plenty of pressure at the rail and according to the noid lights the injectors are firing. So now I am stumped. Any ideas on what I should check?

injecter nozzles might be clogged, the solenoid will fire like your seeing with the noid lights, but that doesnt mean the actual valve is moving when the coil magnetizes, your gonna have to pull the injectors, put a piece of hose on the fuel connection, fill it with cleaner and use a battery to fire the injector and see if it sprays

What do the plugs look like? If you're cranking the engine and it's not firing, but the injectors are squirting fuel, the plugs should be wet with gas.
