This was the day after I bought the car, before fixing broken vac lines, tune up, etc.
Went to the strip with a friend of mine who has a supercharged 96 Cobra. LOTS of upgrades, but stock block. He runs in the 10.1's (looking to break into the 9's)

Completely stock short block, all internals stock. Holley aluminum heads, blow thru carb, C4 with an On3 70mm. 3400lb race weight wagon with me in it. 10.15 at 127.15 on a 1000' shutdown pass. I've got a stock factory Ford block that's been notched for clearance on the bottom of the cylinder bores in order to make way for the Eagle 347 stroker kit. It's naturally aspirated and has got me a best time of 11.49 @ 121.86 mph.

My 3100 lb 85 Mustang LX HB has gone a best of 10.28@128 mph, 1.37 60 foot, with a stock 5.0 block. no power adders, and a 4 speed Jerico, launching at 6200-6400 RPM, shifting at 6800, hits 7200 thru the finish line.It is a production hyd. roller block, but I have a solid flat tappet cam, a 3.25" crank (331 cubes). A buddy has gone as quick as 9.8s @ 135 MPH, also with a stock block, also "all motor", with a Jerico, he has a standard bore 5.0 block, with a fill of Hard Block, but his car only weighs 2700 lbs including driver. He has a zero balance crank, and has been as high as 8400 RPM. However, upon taking the engine apart to freshen it, they discovered a pretty big crack running from the #2 main bearing bore, to the cylinder bore, so hes scrapping the stock block, and has bought a big bore Dart SHP block, and will be building a 358 cube 302 for next season. With the extra cubes, and big jump in compression, and abigger solid roller, hes hoping for 9.5s in the spring, again, all motor.

1985 Mustang LX hatchback NHRA Stock Eliminator 302 4 speed best in legal trim 12.31@107 mph, but has gone 11.42@115 with aftermarket intake, carb, and iron Windsor Jr. heads.New for 2012! 331 cube SB Ford, AFR 185 heads, solid flat tappet cam, pump gas; 10.296ET@128.71 mph, 1.37 60 foot.

Back in the late 80s early 90s I went mid 10s with nitrous on a stock shortblock. Never had a problem with it and ended up adding another plate to it (two stacked) and still never hurt it.Never used both plates at the track but it was fast on the street.
Around the same time my friend went mid 9s @ mid 130s N/A with a stock 302 block. His was an early non roller block but it had all good light weight stuff in it. He went these numbers with J302 heads, non roller solid cam and an offenhouser portosonic intake. . He was probably one of the best SBF guys in the country.

Not a 4 eye, but my 87 GT went 10.85 on a 1.54 60' and a race weight of 3,350. Stock 1990 302 untouched bottom end. Hoping to nip that time down this year and improve my MPH a bit through more aggressive driving.

That's getting it done! Nothing like that feeling when you feel that T5 slide into 3rd gear and you're still moving without any clunking or audible damage coming from under the console.
That 10 second territory can be very stressful with a stock shortblock ( I don't care if it's on spray, boost or NA); throw a T5 in the mix for good measure and surviving a Friday night T-n-T can be a very draining experience. Especially when home is an hour or more drive and there's not a tow vehicle involved.

    OP-

How much boost your running and what heads and cam do you have? That's a great ET and MPH. I love the car too.

I was certain my combo should have cracked 130 but the DA that day wasn't my friend, nor was my granny shifting that preserved the trans.

I'm running the AFR 185's (58 cc's), Anderson N-91 camshaft, Edelbrock Victor Jr. Intake manifold, And a Holley 650 double pumper carburetor. I know that's more info than you asked for but I figured you may want to know the whole combo.

You forgot one more thing you have: The Driver Mod. These cars don't drive themselves to 121 mph trap speeds
