83 Mustang Convertible Restoration Question (fender sound deadener)

I have an 83 Mustang convertible that has been sitting dormant for 10 years and I am trying to slowly restore it.

On to the question, I am putting the wheel well liners back in and there is a fiberglass piece that's kind of half moon shaped that I am pretty sure came out of the back side of the fender, up by the door hinges. I can't quite figure out how it went in and I haven't been able to get it in with all of the holes lined up correctly.

Does anyone know anything about these? And possibly where I might get some new ones as the one I have are a little tattered. Any info would be great.

Hi those are a little tough to find. Keep an eye on Ebay. Look at this site. It shows a restoration of what your talking about.
