    Default 1:18 scale foxes

Thought you guys would appreciate these. Got and 85 GT from GMP about 10 yrs ago and this 86 SVO by Welly off eBay last year. Both pretty good renditions. The GT cost 100 bucks new, the SVO was 25 shipped new in box on eBay. For 25 bucks the quality of the SVO is pretty close to the GMP car.

Cool diecasts. I love the attention to detail they put into the GMP cars. To be honest though, I don't think I've seen a scale model Fox that really got the proportions 100% correct. They always look slightly off to me. What's in the hatch of the SVO?

Yeah, sorry that's a little plastic pick I use to repair loose parts. I threw it in the hatch. Hatchbacks are so useful!

I found an '89 GT GMP on Kijiji quite cheap and am amazed at the detail. It even had the antenna and floor mats in a small bag in the box!

I have the Welly 9L SVO also and am quite happy with it. GMP made them also but as far as I am aware only in black and silver. Too bad they cost so much most of the time now!

    Thanks for posting.

I thought that was the correct 85 GT wheel? I had that wheel in my 85 LX, and it's the wheel in my 84 GT.

Well I can see if you have a black 85 GT with cruise, wanting it to match your car. But otherwise I think they did it the right way as the non cruise wheel is more common and looks sportier.

I use a clear 1:18 display similar to that, except with a black base.

I only have the one GMP car. They're a little too pricey for me to get them all. I would like their 87 grand national though.

Do you own a black 85 GT? That was the car I was originally searching for. A black 85 GT 5 spd with t-tops, ac, and power windows. Couldn't find any, so I bought my 84.5 charcoal gray. No t-tops, but it was kept in good shape and the price was right, so I jumped on it.

    Any pics of your car?

Yes I do, everything you mention is here andi work. I found this car 9 hours away, caught my attention because its 1985, same as my birthday year 1985, and its black and t top and mostly original. I though she gone, because the owner had many come by look at it. and offer a trade. I told the owner my story and how I care for the car, and I have CASH in hand. He call me back that afternoon and the car was list 9 hours ago. He say he dont want to sell to peoples that gonna put a LSX engine in it ( because where he live, drop in the lsx swap is a trend they do to the fox body ) and he hope to it go to the good home and owner, well he is correct , I will never sell it, it will be pass on to my kids when im gone.

I own 2 other fox right now , but this one is my baby, she grown old with me every years, might sound crazy but I say happy birthday to her every time its my birthday. Im 29, she is 29, im 70, she is 70

same with the GMP car model, I buy all the 1985 mustang GMP, or camaro... As long 1985, I try collect them all.

sorry I was lost for a second, I had emotion when it come to this car.

I get the Mad Max thing, but I've had a few of these cars earlier in my life (I'm a little older than you ) in not so perfect condition. I'd like to make this car look really nice. It's mechanically sound and the interior is in pretty nice shape, so next is body.
