Default Ordered wrong visor rods I think

So I ordered new visor rods from LMR, to stop mine from poking my eyes out every time I change gears. I ordered the only one they have for 84 hardtops. It says for without vanity mirrors, but I realize now mine have mirrors. Will the rod still hold?

I guess in my head I was thinking lighted vanity mirrors.

They should still hold I would think. I have had luck shimming the springs in the old ones before, but I finally just threw mine away. I'm going to get some convertible visors that have the mounting tabs on them like they all should have.

Size: 244.2 KBI ordered the visors for a newer model car that had the lock clips to keep the visor from swinging back and installed the clip too. ever easy to do drill a pilot hole and one self tapping screw.

That's what I was talking about! So dumb that all of them aren't like that.

That's what I want to eventually do. How did you know where to drill? Did you take the headliner down? Is there a mounting tab already there?

Theres a double header that runs across there so you want drill though the roof. But just put them where they look right. Cut the headliner material around where you going to drill so it does not get wrapped around drill bit when you drill and pull the headliner material loose and destroy your liner

I did the same thing as I was getting hit in the head every time I accelerated. Great upgrade.
