I watched these last week. Funny how they referred to the SVO as a 'tired old platform.'

Have
69 Mach 1 "M" Code
82 GT 308(my 1st stang)
82 GT T-top (a new beginning) Rebuild Thread
71 Torino GT
That's the exact colour scheme I had on my 82 Z28 when I was a kid. Mine was the cross fire injection 305 with auto trans. That car was a rattle box tho. Didn't have it long.
1985 Mustang GT 5speed LRB with Ford Racing M-6007-X302, Performer RPM, Holley 670 Avenger carb, BBK headers with H-pipe, B&M short throw
1986 Mustang GT (parts car)
1986 LX Coupe 4cyl, 4speed, LRB
After owning a 3rd gen and a foxbody mustang you would never think that Camaro would out handle the smaller Mustang but it does. I loved driving my 92 Z28 but the fox is just more powerful and brute. I have to agree with the video, it really is a tie when it comes to which is best.
Great video's! Thanks for posting them.

I think someday there will be pre and post Emissions era history. Just like pre and post war history. If you think about it from 1971 until today is the Emissions era of automotive history. And within that era we see a steady improvement in design and engineering to improve performance, lower emissions and improve fuel economy.
That will make the 1980s important history, not just the Fox Mustang, but also strong efforts from GM, are the ground breaking beginnings of the modern emissions/performance era.
Also note the cool classic style of Motorweek?
Same show, same host, but today it's annoyingly over produced.
Not even close. When new, on a track it really IS a tie. But if you have to live with them day to day, there is absolutely no comparison whatsoever. The Camaro was an absolute disaster if you consider build quality and reliability even at all. If that is your most important consideration, the Camaro was simply blown away. They were 100% junk boxes. Nothing worked for long, the rearend was shameful, transmissions just puked at 10,000 miles, the back windows shattered in cold climates which is why they ended up putting in a motor to close the hatch......they replaced SO MANY under warranty. There was no tie for anyone who really lived with one of these day to day.

Chevy guys rap on Foxes to deflect attention away from that excuse for a Camaro. It was a sharp looking car, but it was the worst pile of junk that Chevy ever made. Just horrible engineering.
