Took the car down yesterday to have 3M paint protection film applied. So before I went, I got some better photos with it out in the sun.

The PPF was applied to the full front clip - fenders, hood, bumper and air dam except the black trim - full rockers and lowers behind the rear wheels, door handle cups, and a bit on the corners of the rear quarters under the spoiler overlap.
Also, the actual brand of film used is SunTek Ultra which is a self healing film. The work done is amazing, it is nearly impossible to tell the difference from the polished paint. Everything was custom cut and fitted as there are no digitized cutting files for this car.
The self healing is by heat; sunlight or engine heat is all it takes for scuffs and marks to clear up in it. They have a demo where he used a wire brush to scuff it up, then a bit of heat and it returns to perfectly smooth and clear again. pretty amazing technology.
Rainy weather this had me working indoors on some projects. One was re-building an old park bench for the garden. The painting and finishing had a lot of in between time which left me to tinker on a few car items.
First up was my show sign. I made the poster up on the computer, then had it printed at Staples. I can easily update it if needed and it was cheap to print at $10. The stand was mostly shop sourced materials aside from the plexiglass and the aluminum for the frame.
Next item was mounting the handheld for the MSD EFI inside the car. It only comes with a short lead so I'm still waiting on the extension cable to come in to connect it up. This will let me monitor the parameters from the seat and make changes more readily to the settings if needed. There is also a gauge display that can show fuel pressure, a/f ratio and more.
Lastly, was installing a set of Steeda pedal cover that were generously given to me by another local Mustang club member. I had the original skinny auto throttle pedal still, so had to do a bit of fabricating to get that one mounted. The other two were easy and should be better than the rubber ones since the clutch pedal cover kept coming off.
And while I was messing around in the footwell, I spent a bit of time with the heat gun and some weights to flatten out the rubber matting where it was bulging up. Looks much better now.
Looks Good!
If I could make one suggestion on your Show Poster, especially if you plan on using it at outside shows. That would be to make a large flat piece that either replaces the current legs or can be attached to them and be able to sit under a wheel. This allows the stand to be placed close to the car, but not be knocked over by viewers or the wind at an outside show. Something similar to the sign below. Good Luck!

I do have a pair of five pound dumbell plates that I painted red that will slip down over the tube onto the base for extra stability, but I like your suggestion too. I have a piece of aluminum checker plate that might just work well for that. I need to keep all the kit fairly minimal as somebody used all the trunk space for a fuel cell and battery.
The weights will definitely help! I still like ones that slide under the wheel. Makes them impossible to knock over (seen a dumb kid do that to a buddy's horsing around! ) Also been at too many shows that high winds picked up and knocked all kinds of things over. Hate to see that beautiful paint get a chip from something like that!

Awesome build, I learnt heaps. Thank you
Not the best day for a car show, but went out anyway for the Alberta Mustang Auto Club 35th Presidential. Not too many Foxes and only a couple other four eyes. Lots of newer cars and a decent number of classics. a little over a hundred cars entered. Viewers voted for several categories and top ten favourites. I won for Most Modified and one of the Top Ten which include a $100 gift card. Worth it for the drive home in the rain. Cleaning and polishing tomorrow.

Congratulations Ed, I would love to see how you would do at Mustang Week.
Love the show board! Mine is much more crude, haha.

I love your Mustang, it has a nice contemporary look to it.
Congratulations, your car looks flawless!
Thanks for the compliments.
Not a lot to update, I've been playing around a bit with the MSD EFI working out a couple of tune issues. Getting better which is good.
Great car, just read the whole thread. Big kudos for getting it done.
Gotta love the PC front end on a coupe. Always wanted one, and have only managed to lay hands on one badly mangled set.

The blue rad and heater hoses were bugging me, they just looked out of place. I considered a few options and ended up going with the Summit stainless ribbed flex hoses in red. I also swapped to the older thermostat housing with the 45 angled neck since I don't need the hose to come up over my alternator where its located.

That looks nice!
