    Default 1986 gt

I really only post in the racing section but I figured I post a few pictures here. She is undergoing some changes over the winter but this ride delivers.

1986 Mustang GT mexican stock block stroked to 352 with forged internals and a Ysi blower. All this runs through and AOD transmission. The car behaves on the street and this year threw down a 9.66@137.23.

Looks very cool! I always wonder when it comes down from the wheelie is the front end messed up?

If you panic and lift, the car slams pretty hard. If you can ride it out, it eases down. I have a ton of suspension work that helps as well.

    Thank you

Thank you to all. I appreciate it very much. We race for fun only and meet a lot of really great people.

Track is requiring that I have an NHRA license next year.

NHRA license? Gee I wonder why? LOL. Wheelie master needs a wheelie bar! I would hate to see that 86 on its roof! LOL.

I'm actually very cautious with it. That wheelie pictured took me by surprise for sure. I stiffened the rear suspension and added a little psi to the rear tires and it was on the ground after that point.

Very impressive foureye race car. Way to represent. Not too many early foxbodies ruling the tracks with sub 10 sec runs. I only wish it were a notch. Do you think you could get my 86 to pull a wheel stand like that? it's pretty light!
    I love the red interior.

Amazing Mustang! I love that it's so clean (could easily pass as a show car as opposed to a full on racer) but capable of ridiculous quarter mile times. I'm not normally a fan of the way drag mustangs look, but you did a really nice job with this one. What do your friends run against you with?
    Cheers!

Thanks for all the great comments, they really are appreciated. All my buddies know what the car is capable of so they leave me alone.

I usually end up running the big tire guys at the track and they are shocked how well the car hooks and moves. It is a lot of fun to meet everyone and talk about each other's rides.

Over the winter, we are upgrading the block and turning up the boost, lol

Yes sir, it was owned by Jeff. The car was passed around for a couple of years and I never understood why. I guess because it has a production block. I absolutely love the car and keep in contact with all you had a part in creating it.

Cool. I went to LV dragway for the first time this past Labor Day weekend. I'm just a spectator, but had a blast. It's only about an hour from my house. If you know in advance when you're going I'd love to meet up at the track.
