Default Few shots I took Sunday proving the Capri is still alive

Alive and well? maybe maybe not 100% lol, but out for a cruise.
I think I put about 30 miles all year on the car, took it for about a 50 mile ride Sunday.

Few shots I took of my 2007 Saab 2.0T and my 1986 Mercury Capri 5.0 yesterday while they were both out and clean.

Yes....I am posting a Saab too, deal with it I love them both equally

That is one of my favorite Capris on this site. Hey, I've put zero miles on my 84 GT since 2008 and pieces keep disappearing off of it, so don't feel too bad about that 80 miles haha.
1984 Mustang GT owned since 1991 (first car). Mercury Mountaineer GT-40P engine, some suspension mods, currently undergoing a five lug SN95 brake upgrade and more suspension mods. Some minor body and interior mods have been done as well.

I love ROH's, they fit the car perfectly. Why haven't you driven it much? Do you have any upcoming plans for it?

Jeff, you have good taste in cars! I too like the Saab, and owned one many years ago, similar to this...

It was a 5spd Turbo model, and even had Heated Seats. I'd buy another one in a heartbeat

Lack of interest lately, both this and our 88GT need attention in their own ways, I didn't really have the extra funds to go as deep into as I would like to. Just as I was thinking about digging into the 88 a couple months ago I ended up having to get surgery on an old arm surgery, so that put me out of commission. While my arm feels 100% right now, I had some hardware removed so I have 6 screw holes filling themselves back in from the plate/screws that were removed. So I have to treat is a a broken bones as I could impact fracture my arm if I was to fall, smack it, etc.

I didn't much care for anything about Saabs until I went on a search for another daily driver that was good on gas but had a supercharger or turbo, then this popped up and I bought it. Then said, eh I won't do anything to it, just drive it. Ya right......I put too much into now LOL but I love it now.

What's the deal with that euro license plate? It matches your regular plate, so does your DMV offer that style, or did you have it made up? Both cars are amazing btw...just enough personalization to make them unique, but if we didn't know they could be stock (nothing over the top, just clean). Both are how they should have been produced by Ford and Saab respectively.

    Very well done.
    Cheers!

    Thanks Mike!

I had the Euro plate made up using my RI registration number and I chose those 2 colors to match my car. Nope it is not "legal". Hoping where I put RI and my numbers in big BOLD numbers I won't get harassed, so far so good lol.

I hate front plates but in RI you can't drive without them much, especially on a daily driver. The classic cars they don't seem to bother you on which is why I don't have one on the Capri, so I figured go for something that looked a little cooler on the front.

Not being a ratted down car and a 17yrs old kid might help as well because many LEO's have seen it as I drove by speed traps.

I have had quite a few people ask me about it when they see it

This is how the Saab looked the day I bought it.

Have you considered a d.h.buck rear valance with tippy cut outs hmmm ? The finishing touch i do believe, what thinks thou ? It will complete the balance. It will help you center your being, it will help put your inner chi into alignment and positive energy will flow freely.

I used to have a Saleen rear on a previous capri, I didn't mind it but I don't think I want to go back to that again. If I was to install one it would be done cleaner than what was done here, this is how I bought the car.

I do have Saleen sides and rear spats ready to prep and put on if I every decide I'm bored and want a change, lol

Unfortunately, I can't help you with the '88's idle problems/emission problems. However, I can help you pull the motor in your Capri whenever you'd like to do it. Just let me know!
