Since I have to make my Stabilizer bar Lower Control Arm bars, I thought I'd look around for some machining tips. It shouldn't be too hard with my drill press, right? So my first hit, is this guy that made his own bellhousing to use a Ford Toploader 4 speed on his Chevy engine!!!!!

Awesome workmanship! Check out the pictorial step-by-step thread.

Kinda reminds me of an ADDCO sway bar, they connect similar to that.

Dean, I found one of the older plates (1967 3.3L I6) engine plates. Don't know if he has any more.

    http://www.neperformancemustang.com/...roducts_id=923

Actually, I emailed him, because another site had a post from the company, to email if I was looking for I6 plates. So I did, gave him the part number for my Bellhousing, and links to both FordSix sites comments about the compatibility and differences, as shown here, near the bottom of the page:

So now my postman can wear his Santa smile again!

The '67 block plate looks very similar to the one I have. I wouldn't be surprised if the '67 is a steel unit unlike the bent up scraped up POS I have.

Good luck! Not too many folks go from V8 to I6. I'm interested in what you are planning for your Mexican 'Mont.

Since I haven't really done a comprehensive FOX-Log here, but rather over in StationWagonsForum, (http://www.stationwagonforums.com/forums/) and I've already Hi-jacked this thread, I'll start a new one in this Tech section and post the link to it here in a while. I'm also on the FordSix forums (http://fordsix.com/forum/viewtopic.php?f=1&t=72213).

I found an archived page showing the '81 excop Fairmont's rear swaybar mounted on my '78 Friggin' Futura:

Unfortunately, it doesn't show the mounting brackets very well.
