Default disc to disc measurement on the rear?

I may do an axle swap but I need to know what the width is , and see if it fits in my Panther body

Assuming you are referring to the 87-88TC rear assembly? 61" disc flange to disc flange. Same as the 94-98 Mustangs... Add 1.5" for the 99-04.

I need to see if it will work in a 1985 Lincoln Town Car platform, and can't find dimensions , now I have the one. (thank you Chuck)

How does this compare with the 1983 fox stock rear? I may need to narrow my T/C rear in my '83 since I cant find wheels that do not rub the body, even with the drip rails hammered up

88-89 Town Cars had rear disc brakes available.

Just look for a rear-end out of one those cars.

Sounds like you just need to get the aftermarket caliper brackets and swap in some stock 79-93 Mustang axle shafts in the case of your Mustang.

The 87-88TC and 94-98 set-ups are 3/4" wider per side than the Fox Mustang set-up. However, the axle housing itself is the same width (bearing flange to bearing flange), it's just the axles themselves that are longer.
