The weather was great today for the last show of the year. Not a lot of foxes showed up.

I was thinking about this show as I was priming walls today on a side job. I wish I had gone! Maybe next year I'll be there?

I didn't realize it's more catered to the newer mustangs. I never agreed with "newer" cars in car shows. You can just go to a dealer to see them. at least 80% of the cars were of a newer model year. I drove 1.5 hours to walk around for 20 minutes . If you've seen one newer mustang you've seen them all. A little disappointed to say the least.

I totally agree. It drives me nuts when it's hard to tell a car show from a dealers lot.

There were a lot of 1st generation Mustangs and most everything else was newer. It's a show open to all generations of Mustangs and not a lot of foxes show up. I think there were maybe 6-7 fox body Mustangs there. I wish more would show up at the shows.

While I don't totally disagree, unless its a special model, I tend to agree, how many new mustangs can you look at in one viewing. BUT..there are classes and the only people that can change that are the people with the other year cars (us and others), if we don't make a presence its nobody's fault but our own too right?

very true, I probably could have shown my car but I'm way too much of a perfectionist to have others judge my car when it's not "perfect". There was a thunderbird there 80's ish , my car was 200% in better condition than this car. I really don't know why it bothered me so much that I had to vent on here.

That Thunderbird that you mention belongs to an FEP member. It belongs to CoyoteRI. It wasn't being judged in the show. He had it on display because it is a FILA edition Thunderbird from the 80's. He was displaying it in an unrestored state because ( as I was told ) it is a fairly rare car.

smitty please don't start throwing out the " barn find" term lol I'm so sick of people using that term for EVERYTHING now a days. I'm not here to rustle anyone's feather's it was just an observation that I had.

Nobody said this was a "barn find", where is this coming from? The FEP member was driving an unrestored FILA edition Thunderbird from the 80's. The only reason he was driving this was because his Capri had brake issues and he still wanted to go to the show.

Am I the only one confused? Lol

It is true that I brought the thunderbird because my Capri broke a brake line.

That being said, the thunderbird is a cool car with 88k miles and not "restored". It has had some light mods. Is it a rare car and had more than one person say they had never seen one in person before.

I put it in for display only as it really isn't "judge" worthy but still a fun car to have in the show.

I enjoy going to the shows and talking to everyone.

We can't complain about new cars being there if we don't show up with ours. The shows are only as good as the people who bring their cars. Mine wasn't perfect, by any stretch, but I enjoy other people enjoying my car
