Default I saw this really nice 1967 Mercury...

...Colony Park. I saw this car the other day at the body supply shop. I honestly don't recall ever seeing one like this before. Pretty cool, nice color and wicked condition! I had to look up what year it was. I guessed '68 and but then found this right away:

It must have been a gentler time back then. I was born way too late. I want a station wagon.

I want a wagon too, but not quite that big. One of those sweet Pinto wagons with a crazy 70's interior and awesome exterior graphics will do me just fine.
    Cheers!

Those fake/decorative grills/vents at the fronts of the fenders...

A couple of my mom's friends had those late '60s full size Mercury's back in the day. One was a four door and the other was a wagon like that.

I found an (almost) identical '66 Colony Park at one of those Junkyard/"Charitable Cars" places back in Los Angeles when I lived there. It had a near NOS condition spare in the back that I was going to snag but it was 15" not 14". I think it was even a black plate car too.

I guarantee I'll own a wagon at some point. Probably an '85-6 LTD or Pinto. I like those '60s ones but '80s ones are just about as cool, in my opinion. If somebody finds me an LTD/Marquis wagon with dark green interior I will almost definitely buy it.

Me, too. Something in the 1979-1987 (before they trimmed down the turn signals) range would be nice. Those rear, facing seats are cool -- as is woodgrain siding. That said, the earlier ones are worthy of a seconed look as well. Either one -- pulling a travel trailer to state parks -- would make for a great getaway.

Nice classic. Looks to be a 1966
They are not that hard to drive. Sitting lower than an SUV translates to much better visibility other than forward.
    390 or 410 V8, 4500 lbs 119" wb 219" long
    Colony Parks are Lincoln like.
New station wagons, purchased by larger middle class families, were usually less luxurious.
Can haul some long items with the all the seats folded down.
Dual rear facing seats appeared in 1967. 1966 did have the magic 2 way door gate.
Need lots of garage space for that one.
