Default Ranger/Lincoln 5 lug using 16x7 crown vic

I've read about the different 5 lug setups that can be used using the search function but I didn't see much info regarding the 98-02 crown vic steelies. From what I read the backspacing is the same as the pony wheels. In order for me to run these wheels am I stuck with the ranger brake set-up. Is the ranger set-up as poor as the 4i brakes. Is the Lincoln set up for an option for better braking. If so is it just a 87-93 5.0 spindle and Lincoln rotor/caliper. Thanks

Here is the CV wheel, and all this is for an 86 v8 coupe.

Ranger setup uses the same calipers already on your car, so braking is no different than what you have. The Lincoln rotors do require the 87-93 V8 spindles and calipers, which is a good upgrade over what you have.

I like the idea of upgrading the brakes. Spindles and calipers don't go for too much, $50-100 tops. Thanks

Looks good, do you have any angled side shots. The fronts don't look to stick out past the fenders. Why did you go with the PBR's? Upgraded braking. So pretty much 94 fronts with 99 calipers. Thanks

The pbr's are dual piston and alot lighter.
I was able to pull them of a junkyard car and used them for about a year before I replaced them with advanced auto replacements.
If you don't want to deal with junkyard you can get them from advanced but you will have to fork over the core cost.
I will try to get a picture of the tire shot this weekend, sorry car is know over my dad's.

Have to be careful with the PBRs though. They have phenolic pistons and are known to have a problem with sticking pistons. Ask me how I found out.
