The subframe connectors will stiffen it up a bunch.
Check with exhaust shops as well.No welding skills and I don't have a lift that supports the car on it's wheels so that job requires a mechanic who has good welding skills and a proper lift.

Just a quick update. Got my MM strut brace in today. It felt a bit strange drilling 5/16" holes in my strut towers but in the end it went in quite well.
Took the car on my "evil handling loop" and wow. HUGE difference!
It's quieter.
It doesn't threaten to fall apart while crossing the evil railroad tracks.
It tracks WAY straighter over the evil rural road patches.
It's more predictable on gravel roads
It has a tighter feel during hard cornering.
The dash doesn't do the salsa any more........ (More like a slow waltz)
I would highly recommend this mod as an inexpensive afternoons work that, for the money, gives back way more than it costs.
Good to hear

It's amazing what some chassis strengthening and some chassis bracing will do for Fox isn't it!
Glad to hear things are coming together and you like the results!
Another item you might consider if you haven't already is the 4 point K member brace. That seems to help the OEM K members a lot too! Again an inexpensive modification that doesn't take more than an afternoon to install.

Trey. I'm totally with you on the K-member brace. I have the pony booked in for a steering rack replacement at the end of the month so I thought I'd get my mechanic to throw in a K-member brace at the same time. The thought of doing that from a creeper............ creeps me out! LOL! So the next three things going into this car will be:
K-member brace
MM's new super full length subframe braces
Pan hard bar.
I'll keep you all posted on driving impressions with each new addition. (Weather permitting!)
Wow! If you were that impressed with the improvements from the STB and the other parts, then you will see a night and day difference with the Full Length SFC!
They are generally the first thing I add to every new Fox I buy, especially T-top cars! Glad to hear things are coming together and let us know what you think when you get it all back together. Weather permitting of course!

Subframe connectors and a panhard bar? May as well go for a torque arm too, if you have an 8.8 axle! I hope to be making all these upgrades on my 84 once it's drivable. You have a nice looking GT, even nicer now that you enjoy driving it more.
1984 Mustang GT owned since 1991 (first car). Mercury Mountaineer GT-40P engine, some suspension mods, currently undergoing a five lug SN95 brake upgrade and more suspension mods. Some minor body and interior mods have been done as well.
2004 GT convertible, 2001 Taurus LX, 1994 F150, 1950 F-1 Ford Pickup
Unfortunately I have to take things in baby steps as my budget won't allow for the financial jump from my 7.5, four link to an 8.8 torque arm setup. The nice people at MM did encourage me to add a pan hard bar and I concur. I also don't have any welding skills or access to a proper hoist and friends to help put on the SFC's so that will have to wait till I can get the dough together to pay my mechanic to do the job. Baby steps.
Oh I understand that little bit at a time and baby steps. Fortunately it can be done that way and the cost doesn't seem so bad. If I didn't have to take those baby steps, I'd have a running and driving GT now!

Quick update.
Got the pony back from my mechanic today. New Cardone 15:1 rack. Urethane rack bushings. New hoses. Flush out old fluid from existing bits. New fluid. New fuel pump. Fresh alignment to:
Caster, L- 1.97 R- 2.01
Camber, L-.65 R- .52
Toe, left, .07 R- .08 total- .15
Thrust angle- .25
The car is fantastic. Tracks straight as an arrow, hands off the wheel, on the expressway. Steering is tight and positive. I also noticed a dramatic increase in traction during hard cornering. Going for a day trip to catch the end of fall colour tomorrow. I'll post pics.
BTW. Any misgivings I might have had using Kuhmo Ecsta's are gone. These things stick like glue.
