Very nice. Just wish they would have taken 30 seconds to straighten the air cleaner cover.

Very nice. Selling dealer does try to be honest, "it's between a driver and a show car." Without looking it up, would the turbine wheel covers be correct for an 83 GT convertible?

I'd say repaint. The gaps from trim shrinkage are considerable. It does look to be a very nice car, and I appreciate that they're not trying to be cutesy with the mileage as is common by trying to pass off the low mileage shown on the odometer to be original (without coming right out and saying it). The fact that they're selling it as a nice driver is refreshing. First impression is this car may be worth the gamble on a no reserve auction as I don't think it'll go for crazy money.

I did look it up. The 14" cast aluminum wheels were standard on the GT with the TRX setup as an option. I'm guessing that the previous owner might have removed the TRX wheels due not being able to afford decent tires, or maybe a set of the 14" aluminum wheels that was in bad shape. The turbine wheel covers were period correct, just not for the GT.

Bryan, that was what I was thinking/remembering. I agree with the other posters, overall a nice car but not a show car (which one quick look at the pictures might lead you to believe).
