Very cool kart! Funny thing I almost bought a body of a Enduro style Mustang Go Kart. I had no idea this could be fixed up to look like this. Awesome job.

I have 1 fairly complete cart and one extra body.

Anybody know who might have an extra chassis for sale close to Tennessee to make the second body a good builder cart?

Saw this cart at Mecum Indy. Appears to be the same manufacturer with a different body.

Nice job on the FW Mustang restoration Brian! I'm hunting for a chassis that will work with my FW 1982 Mustang body (Motorsports/M81 style) if you come across one. The measurements on the chassis I have are 46 1/2" wheelbase & 34 1/2" track and are longer than the typical chinese kits available. If you have any extra time I'd love a few more measurements off yours such as where the steering wheel and seat mounts relative to the wheelbase. I see some kits from gopowersports.com and am waiting on some details to see if I can make that work. Eventually I'll replicate the M81 graphics and head/tail lights like you did. Great inspiration!

The company that built these go-karts used the same chassis in every one of their go-karts. Even in the Indy car go-karts. It has been so long I can not remember the name of the company anymore though.

The Motorsports Mustang go kart was made by FW and Associates. Not sure if that’s the same maker as the Pace Car body. I’m still hunting for a chassis and want to paint it to match the m81 as it’s the same flared body!
