Cool build and your vision is incredible. It takes allot to take on a project this big and then follow through with it. More importantly ,Im sorry to hear about your sister.

As my life is getting in the way of this car, I haven't even seen the car in a month. However, I ordered my "test fit" wheel from Boze and found a worn out tire to use for the build portion only. I am very pleased and a bit surprised it seemed to be almost a perfect fit on what I've already done. Once again feeling motivated!! Here's some picsName: photo 1.jpg

Thanks for the compliment!! Money spent is still relatively small. So far about 4k into her not factoring my time. The big money will be finishing the body and powertrain. I'm expecting that number to be around 60k. ESTIMATE ONLY! I am hoping to find some financial backing somewhere along the way.
If anyone can educate me in that area, please help!!!

The wheel looks like a good fit!

So what size and offset did you end up going with?

They are 19x12 with a +26 offset. Offset may change a bit after bodywork is done

Most people wont get a build like this. They just dont understand. Its not about taking the easy road. Some people dont want a factory built racecar. Some people dont want to pay a shop to build their car. Sure it may be easier and sure it may be cheaper but some people have to do things themselves so it gets done the way they want it.
Personally I enjoy the build and the feeling of accomplishment everytime I overcome an obstacle as much as I enjoy driving and racing. Awesome work man keep going!

I've been looking for a Capri hatch. From an aero standpoint they're different and I want to see if they're better at speed. I also found this guy who made a fox more stable and better aerodynamically with these vortex generatorsName: image.jpg

The Capri bubble hatch is more aerodynamic than the flat hatch and reduces drag at high speeds. This was part of the reason Tom Gloy petitioned Mercury to make the change.

You will also notice that the IIRC "Car Craft" 200 MPH Mustang that was built back in the 90's switched to the Capri bubble for the same reason in the pursuit of 200 MPH speed barrier.

Lol nothing very important to report!! Holidays have consumed much time. Put to bed for another year almost. I did take the car and do a wheel alignment and it's now in my garage at home. I am gearing up for the bodywork phase I'm faced with now

Made a few adjustments to the wheel opening and I feel I'm close to where I need to be. The tire in the pic is 27" tall and I am hoping to be able to run either 27 or 28 tall tires and have a little room for height adjustments on the suspension. As I finished the back corner, I wondered if it would be better to move the taillights out to the corner of the widened bodywork or leave them in the stock location. If I leave them, the 2" wide portion would probably become a wheel well vent type feature.Name: 008.jpg
